A thief slashed my pocket and stole my phone

The Philcoa jeep was jam-packed when I saw it parked in front of Jollibee. Still I squeezed my way into one of the remaining spaces. The 15-minute drive to Yakal was rather quick, and when I eventually said "Para po," I realized something was missing.

Ah, my phone. My pocket felt light. I looked at it. No phone. Only lacerations.

Someone stole it.

Despite this, there are so many things to praise God for. I was safe. I wasn't kidnapped nor dragged into the wide, open fields to be tortured.

I'm okay now. Indeed, I am. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

  2. I know how you feel...
A word of advice: Just be ready for the Text craze that you'll do when the new phone arrives.

Btw, I'm going to miss your phone too. I believe I topped a game there. Sayang high score ko. hehe.

  5. and one can't emphasize the value of your safety enough. we're really glad you weren't "kidnapped nor dragged into the wide, open fields to be tortured"— although that would make you a front-page news item and an interesting conversation piece. =P

    thanks be to God.

  7. naku, parang andaming nananakawan ng phone lately.. i had the same experience june last year, twice pa in one month. yung una nahold-up ako sa bus tapos yung second na-slash yung bag ko sa pantranco-up jeep naman. ah, the things we have to experience to learn. and yes, praise God na walang masamang nangyari sayo.

i love the last lines of your entry. the secret to happiness, for me at least, is to think that everything that happens, whether it's good or bad, is a blessing :D
