Surgery is one rotation we'll surely miss.

Our group delivered a public health lecture of sorts on hemorrhoids, locally known as almoranas. I'm posting a video clip taken minutes before the talk, just to give you a feel of how we sound. (That's me, not a woman, speaking at the beginning.)

The patients and their companions asked many questions after we finished, and we were glad that they got something out of it. Ching, Lennie, and Migz did a terrific job explaining stuff, bringing it down to the level of the lay people. They can start their own "Salamat, Doc" show if they like.

One of the most frequent questions we got asked: Are hemorrhoids caused by eating spicy food? No, not at all.

It's Internal Medicine for us next week.
