I complimented Franco on his choice of scrub suit. "Nagmumukha nga akong waiter ng Chowking, eh," he said. I couldn't agree with him more.
The fat, black cat at the Anesthesiology residents' lounge was staring out of the window while it was raining. When I snapped this photo, the cat looked at me without batting an eyelash.
This afternoon, I spotted this man along the flooded Taft Avenue. It had been raining for hours, leading to flooding throughout Metro Manila, and eventual cancellation of classes. I didn't know these were happening while Ching and I were in PGH. A side note: I remember a friend who told me last year that he was two (or was it three) weeks late in finding out that Michael Jackson had died. What hospital work does to medical students is beyond comprehension.
A plaza near Taft-UN Avenue intersection, with makeshift stores soaked in the rain.

A romantic photo: both young and old couples under the umbrella, waiting for a bus to take them home.
